We have some exciting news! As a result of our Rafflecopter random drawing, we have a winner for the “iPad for your School” Giveaway. The lucky winner is Diane Gembe Mentzer on behalf of Bester Elementary School in Hagerstown, Maryland. Congratulations, Diane! A new,  iPad 3 is being sent to your school courtesy of Hamaguchi Apps for Speech, Language & Auditory Development, along with a number of promo codes.

But wait—we have another surprise for you. Patti Hamaguchi decided to award a second iPad to another school that was our first place finisher in total entry points. Here is a hint: It is an SLP who has a lot of friends :)  Stick around and we will announce that winner in the next 15-20 minutes or so.

It’s Better Speech & Hearing Month!

Hamaguchi Apps for Speech, Language & Auditory Development is celebrating by donating a brand new iPad 3 to a school! As many of you may know, part of our mission statement is to give back to the community-in particular, for causes that support the special needs child. Since we are in the business of creating apps, we felt this month it would be particularly appropriate for us to donate an iPad, loaded with full versions of all of our apps. We thank Technology in Education for hosting this exciting giveaway. We hope you enter and win for your school!!  (For a list of donations to date and to find out more about our apps, please check our website at www.hamaguchiapps.com)

What you are going to win? An ipad3 for your school!! (The iPad will become the property of the school). You will get a $25 gift certificate and App codes and the friend who referred you will get a $15 Gift certificate.  The more people who nominate your school, the more chances your school will have to win the iPad.  Hamaguchi Apps will supply codes or gift certificates for full versions of all their apps to get you started with your new iPad!

When (Entry Period)? The giveaway starts on May 17th and ends on May 30th  at 7pm

How are the winners selected?  Winners will be selected at random using Rafflecopter.  The winners’ entries will be verified and only valid entries will be considered. See instructions below.

What you need to do? Only steps 1-3 (FB Likes/school name/Referrer name) are mandatory.  The rest of the steps are optional, but will increase your chances to win an iPad for your school and gift cards for yourself and the friend who referred you.

    Yes. You can leave it blank if you want but it is better to give that your friend than leaving it on the table :-)

    Hi! My name is Jennifer! I am a 4th grade teacher at Craneville Elementary School! What I love most about my school is that we are a full inclusion school with a fantastic Autism Program with great leadership! What a wonderful giveaway an iPad! This giveaway reminds me of the saying “the horse before the cart” I’ll need an iPad before I can maximize the Apps available to enhance student learning!!!

    Hello, I am a resource teacher at Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts. I could really use an iPad in my program to support a couple of students with autism. Students who are challenged with communicating both physically with a pencil and paper and vocally could benefit from such a wonderful tool.

    Our city school district is lacking in technology services for those with disabilities, been trying for two years to get things rolling with FCPS, this would be a wonderful thing for a school to recieve any school for that matter. I would like to nominate Rosa Parks Elementary School in Lexington, KY
