iLuv Drawing People – Learn how to draw kids doing their favorite things – Educational App

iLuv Drawing People

iLuv Drawing People is a step- by-step guide for creating simple and adorable drawings of babies, moms, dads, families, girls, and boys. The app features twenty-two drawings of people, sixteen of which depict girls and boys in various action poses, such as swinging, dancing, skating, and eating fruit. Although none of these drawings are actually animated, there is a lovely sense of movement to each one. The process of creating a drawing begins with selecting a favorite image and following the step-by-step instructions to form the basic outline of the drawing. For each step in the process, a few simple lines and shapes appear on the page, ready to be traced. These simple lines and shapes are accompanied by simple, voiced instructions. When the basic outline for the drawing is complete, the lines that were provided as a tracing-guide magically disappear, leaving only the lines that have been drawn by the child. iLuv Drawing People provides numerous options for coloring and decorating each drawing. This is the stage in the process that allows children to really express their personalities and make the drawings uniquely their own. There are numerous solid and scene-based backgrounds from which to choose, a nice variety of stickers to add to each drawing, a nice palette of colors, and several brush and pencil-size options. One of my favorite coloring features is the paint-bucket option, which allows any enclosed area within the drawing to be colored in with just a tap. Stickers can be added to each drawing with a tap, rotated with a single finger, and re-sized with a two-finger pinching motion. Stickers include dress up†items (such as shoes, necklaces, hair accessories, and dresses), environmental items (such as butterflies and flowers), decorative items (such as hearts), and text-based items (such as Mom,†Grandpa,†and Miss You’) for use in creating greeting cards from the drawings. While some children may have difficulty independently re-sizing stickers and placing dress-up stickers to their liking, there are certainly numerous decorating opportunities that are readily accessible to any student who is working on simple tracing skills.
